I can resonate! Also 42 and ready for a change. I've already moved from a city to a tiny rural town, bought an old quaint, wonky, cute (and draughty) cottage, made a conscious choice to slow down, quit social media, am exploring side projects and writing about it all here on substack, but I can't quite give up the day job *just yet* because I need to pay for said cute cottage.
