No newsletter this week I'm afraid
Coming soon: David Beckham, art for all and a nursery excursion
Hello! Thank you for being here. I’m afraid that as I’ve had the gastroenteritis special version of covid this week, there’s no newsletter today.
I cancelled various plans last week, but in the next few days I hope to make up for it - and so in theory there will be a few tales for next time.
Alongside catching up on work, I’m going to a secret special launch event with David Beckham in attendance that I am very excited about (what to wear! the attire is ‘cocktail dress,’ so can I wear a bright pink and orange jumpsuit with trainers?!).
As I’m in the middle of a work project where I’m writing about art, I’m also going to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition - which has been held annually since 1769 and accepts submissions from anyone. I’m looking forward to seeing what I see, and whether I can afford to buy anything (a ha ha ha!).
But, as a childfree/childless human, what I’m most excited about is a nursery excursion where I will accompany my four-year-old nephew in a high-vis jacket (him, not me) on a local walk. Last time, it was lovely holding his hand, posing for photos with our tongues out and drinking hot chocolate under the trees. Less fun was wiping dog poo off his welly before it went all over the picnic blanket…
I shall let you know how it all goes. Until next time!
PS - I reminded my mum to get her spring covid booster. The deadline is 30 June, so if you’re eligible, book it now!
