These ideas remind me of internal family systems which is a therapy where you think about all the sides of you and how healing it can be to understand all of them sides even the ones you might be ashamed of; no bad parts. Dear Text Lucy, I think being in midlife makes us all more like Text Lucy, I am regularly saying 'I'm old enough and ugly enough to...demand being paid for the work I do given my experience, say no to anything I don't want to do, feel confident in a swimsuit etc etc' Rock On Text Lucy. You are already successful, already content, already valued, and already brilliant. Keep doing it.
