I don't like my dogs but just require them to remain indifferent to me. My kid hates dogs and will lash out if they get too close. The thing I dislike more than dogs is dog owners who have their dogs inappropriately off lead and yell from a distance "don't worry he/she is friendly" and are then pissed off with me when my (dog unfriendly) kid threatens their too close dog.
I like dogs well enough, but I HATE how entitled so many dog owners feel when it comes to taking their dogs everywhere, and how they get upset when you don't adore their dog as much as they do. Someone above related it to parents and their children, and I one hundred percent agree! I love that you tried so hard to be a dog person! 😁

I was never particularly a dog person - and then one landed in my life! I love Millie-Dog to bits, but I think it’s her soul (that happened to be packaged in a dog’s body) which was always meant to be a part of my life.
I hate dogs. In fact. I reported two dogs to the local council yesterday. One massive status dog that was off the lead in a small park near my house where my toddler likes to ride his bike, the other that belongs to a homeless man and who lunged and barked at me when I was on my run.
I feel like the dog issue has got so much worse since the pandemic. All these people with dogs that aren’t properly socialised, often too big for them to handle.
As I write I am on the train and a Pomeranian just got on. Two couples opposite cooed. But all I could see was the dog’s pink asshole.
You are lucky, Pomeranians are cute and harmless. A German Shepherd got on my carriage today and a Rottweiler the other day...

I’d not thought of reporting dogs so this is a good tip! I agree, so many people who don’t know how to socialise/train their dogs.
